American Turf & Tree Care

In May of 2024, we contacted American Turf & Tree Care to treat our large Ash tree against the Emerald Ash Borer Beetle. They completed the treatment and recommended subsequent treatments every 2-3 years. Fast Forward two years to July 2026 and a tech from American Turf & Tree Care arrives at my home, completes a treatment, and hands us a bill for nearly $400; all without request of services or express consent from us. When I contacted the office about the unsolicited treatment, they said that they automatically schedule treatments (on your behalf) and send a text notification. I do not frequently review messages from unknown numbers and did not respond to any text messages from American Turf & Tree Care. When asked if this was standard practice, they indicated that a non-response to these messages is generally accepted as consent to receive services...Seriously. After further discussion, they agreed to reduce the price of the unsolicited treatment, but the reality is that it should have never been completed without permission (or contract).

All of the techs that come out are friendly and willing to take time to talk to me about my yard care. This was exactly the reason that I fired True Green. They gave me no notice and didn’t work with me. AT&T is a small local company that still listens to their customers.

We had a different lawn care service the year before last, 2024, and the weeds were the healthiest part of our yard. We hired American Turf and Tree Care mid season last year and within that time to now, our yard has done a complete turn around and looks fantastic. Their technicians are quick and on time and do a wonderful job. 5 *****

Shout out to Jasiah for always looking after our landscaping and lawn. We started years back doing the pre-emergent weed control. That alone has saved my back with the lack of weeds throughout our rock bed. We then added liquid aeration. This one really brought our lawn to life (and saved my sprinkler heads). Even without adequate watering, the grass is lush and green by early May.

We always look forward to a visit from Gus. He knows his bugs and diseases and we love plants and trees! We had an oak tree that needed greening up and Gus knew how to help it and now it looks great! American Turf & Tree are great communicators and Gus has always shown up on time with notice in advance that he's on his way. I highly recommend them!
